One person is injured and another is in police custody after a stand-off in Dallas Saturday morning, police said.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the incident took place in the 1400 block of Conner Drive.
Police said when officers responded to the shooting call shortly after 1 a.m., they were told that a verbal argument had arisen between the victim and the suspect.
During the argument, the suspect produced a gun that shot the victim once, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for further medical attention.
According to police, detectives were called to the scene, but their investigation was halted after police were told the suspected shooting was located in one of the apartment units across the street.
Police said a stand-off occurred for several hours as officers tried to lure the suspect out of the apartment using loudspeakers.
The suspect eventually came out of the apartment and was arrested, police said. He was transported to the Lew Sterrett jail and charged with aggravated assault.
