Based on the book Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America, this miniseries revolves around the opioid epidemic that many Americans face today, and more importantly, the drug company that started it all. The series travels through various stories of people whose lives have been affected by the opioid crisis, including a minor seeking pain relief after an injury, a physician falling into his own addiction, Oxycontin sellers whose ethics have been turned upside down, and the lawyers are trying to shut down Perdue Pharma once and for all. The whole cast pulls out some of their best performances in this one. Dopsyg is a hard watch, but it is necessary.
