‘America’s Got Talent’ singer Nightbirde shares ‘miracle’ update on breast cancer diagnosis

Zanesville native Jane Marczewski, who goes after Nightbirde when she sings, received the golden ticket to the live show at her America’s Got Talent audition, which aired Tuesday night.

America’s Got Talent singer Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski said she sees a “slow miracle” in her fight against breast cancer. The singer, who gained national attention after receiving the golden buzzer this year from Simon Cowell, previously revealed that she had a 2% chance of surviving.

“I wish we would have a faster miracle,” she told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday. “It happens slowly little by little, day by day. I get a little better. I got a scan result back, and a lot of things that were there disappeared. And a lot of the big things have gone down in size, so we on the way.”

Here are five takeaways from Nightbird’s interview:

The worldwide attention is ‘a lot to process’

“It’s a lot to process,” she admitted. “The highest of heights and lowest of lows in life happens at the same time with all this unfolding in front of millions of people. It’s a lot to bear, but it’s such an honor.”

She will not give up treatment

“I feel like life is sometimes like a ‘Choose Your Pain’ game,” she said. “The pain of continuing or the pain of giving up. The pain of continuing – there’s a lot more uncertainty that way, but I think the pain of giving up is so much worse.”

She is grateful for what she has

“I’ve dreamed of singing my whole life,” she said. “I think many of us are not aware that we are in the middle of a dream come true. Life is so imperfect and there are so many hard things and unfair things mixed in. … I is grateful for what I have. “

She sees life as ‘an honor and a gift’

“Every year I get to be around the table with people I love, it’s such an honor and gift,” she said. “I should not be alive right now based on the usual statistics. So every year when this time comes is special for the whole family. Every moment we breathe is a miracle and a gift. Most people do not know, what joy it is.are to wake up in the morning without pain because they have just experienced a normal life. But those like me who face death in everyday life, sometimes I think we are the luckier because we can really see the sweetness of life. “

She writes a new album and sings again

“I’m so proud of what I’m writing right now. Pain can be a gift because it really drives you to deep places. … I’m really proud of the things I work on and my voice gets there Today I actually sang a lot, and even though it’s not 100%, I’m just so happy to sing, and I can not help but smile today. “
