An official Marvel Zombies board game blows up Kickstarter

Another Kickstarter campaign Marvel zombies – a spin-off, Marvel-licensed version of the popular zombicide table games – has raised over $ 3.65 million since it hit the crowdfunding website on January 18th. The project is already fully funded, with designers CMON, Guillotine Games and Spin Master Games only requesting $ 500,000 to supply the product.

The game puts players on a New York City-inspired board and makes them control a horde of zombified superheroes. Like zombie versions of characters like Hulk, Captain Marvel, Iron Man and Deadpool, players will meander through the city streets in an attempt to complete goals. They will have to feed spectators – increase their power and gain new perks – and fight against living heroes to stay in the game. The game also has a Hunger Meter, which players will have to satisfy if they do not want to lose control of their zombie hero.

Additional promises for the game include another game, Marvel zombies: X men Resistance, which gives players the opposite perspective. IN X-Men resistanceplayers will control live versions of famous X-Men and use them to defend the X-Mansion against hordes of zombies and zombified heroes.

Marvel zombies will also launch along with a day-1 extension: Galactus the Devour. The expansion comes with a giant Galactus character, and players can swap his head and arm out to make him a living Galactus or zombie Galactus. Players can then defeat or devour Galactus in an encounter with their own set of rules and maps – including a living and dead Silver Surfer figure.

With the huge success of the Kickstarter, the developers have already added more hero characters as stretch targets, such as live and zombified versions of Luke Cage, Beast and Winter Soldier.

There are three levels of promise for players to choose from on Kickstarter, depending on how much play they want. That Marvel zombies-Low promise requires $ 130 while both Marvel zombies and X-Men resistance will give players $ 240. Those who want to get both games and the Galactus expansion must promise $ 410 or more.

Marvel zombies has an estimated shipping date of October 2022, while the rest of the goods will not be shipped until at least June 2023.
