CARNOUSTIE, Scotland – Anna Nordqvist of Sweden won its third major title with a one-shot victory at the Women’s British Open at Carnoustie on Sunday.
Nordqvist hit on par at the last hole to a 3-under 69 to finish at 12 under par for the tournament.
Nanna Koerstz Madsen from Denmark was right in the lead with Nordqvist on her way down from No. 18, but found a greenside bunker with her approach and made a double bogey after being shot out.
Nordqvist also won the 2009 LPGA Championship and the Evian Championship 2017.
Lizette Salas, Georgia Hall and Madelene Sagstrøm was right up to second place at 11 under.
