While Mackie and the folks at Marvel Studios have been trying to keep things under control, Deadline reports that the actor will repeat his role as the newly coined Captain America from his time The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It is unclear whether the film will star in Sebastian Stan. Malcolm Spellman – lead author and creator of Falken and Vintersolideren will write the fourth installment of Captain America.

Earlier, Spellman and Mackie had played nicely about the possibility of returning to the fourth film, where Spellman specifically said that if Marvel Studios had not said something, he would not believe it. “Who said that? Did Kevin say that?” Spellman said when asked about the rumors back in April, “I would not believe anything you do not hear directly from the man himself!”
