Assistant/Associate Professor in Apparel Merchandising and Textiles (Tenure-Track)


Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Assistant or Associate Professor will teach courses related to Apparel
Merchandising and Textiles (AMTX), recruit mentor and advise AMTX students develop curricula that prepares students for contemporary careers
in the field, conduct research and engage in other scholarly activity in an area of expertise that coordinates with the AMTX program,
department, college, and university goals. They will seek external funding for research and develop ties with AMTX business/industry,
participate in university service and other professional activities related to the faculty position. This is a nine-month, tenure-track
position.

Required Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have an earned doctorate from an accredited
university with at least one graduate degree in clothing and textiles, fashion merchandising, or closely related area. Applicants must
demonstrate evidence of effective teaching, have the ability to engage in research and scholarly activity, to seek external funding for
research, experience in assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes is desired. The candidate should have an ability to use
current technologies (such as Adobe Photoshop, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Excel software, SPSS, AMOS). Applicants should have a clear
understanding of the land-grant mission and how it relates to the AMTX career field. The successful candidate must possess excellent
communication interpersonal, management and organization skills. The successful candidate must also be committed to teaching excellence.
Experience with departmental accreditation is also desired.

Additional Position Information:

The University
will not sponsor a visa for this position. The candidate must be a permanent resident or citizen to be hired for this position.
