The Department of Educational Services and Leadership is accepting applications for a full-time assistant/associate tenure track professor
position for the Master of Art in School Administration program beginning fall, 2022, contingent upon budget appropriation. The department
is seeking a creative and innovative faculty member to play an integral role in the Master’s level program in school administration.

develop and maintain an active, highly visible, extramurally funded research program with outstanding scholarship, and to demonstrate
excellence in mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students. The individual will have research impact, as reflected in high-quality
publications and the ability to build a funded and sustainable research program. Educators who bring diverse perspectives to the university
or who have capacity to mentor and advise students who are members of groups that have been historically and are currently marginalized in
the U.S. and in U.S. schools are encouraged to apply. The position will carry a rank commensurate (Assistant or Associate Professor) with
the candidate’s prior experience and record.

Qualifications:

This
position requires demonstrated scholarly excellence and accomplishment in educational leadership, with the practitioner leadership
experience and a rich knowledge base in school administration-related fields. Specifically, the department is looking for a faculty member,
who is dedicated to increasing knowledge, sensitivity, and awareness of practices best suited for individuals from diverse sociocultural
backgrounds. The successful candidate meets the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate
    (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an accredited institution with a major in School Administration or Educational Leadership (by September 1, 2022)
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship including publications and grants
  • Demonstrated currency and fluency in literature and
    research in educational leadership and change
  • Demonstrated commitment to interactive and field-based work and record of
    professional activities, including working with P-12 schools
  • Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of courses in the School
    Administration curriculum, and record of technological skills that foster the ability to deliver online or hybrid courses
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant accreditation standards, such as NELP and PSEL
  • Demonstrated record of excellent
    communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to public scholarship
  • Demonstrated teaching/learning philosophy consistent
    with the mission of the College of Education
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in an environment devoted to collaboration,
    collegiality, professional development, diversity, scholarly inquiry, student learning, civic responsibility, and respect for all
    people.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the implementation of a philosophical stance of social justice
  • Demonstrated record of
    professional activities and an ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships in dynamic and collaborative
    environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at the graduate level
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering educational programs on-line
  • Demonstrated record of program development
    and ability to provide program leadership
  • Substantial practitioner experience in educational leadership
  • Department of
    Education certification as school principal, supervisor, or leader certification at district level
