Campus/Auxilary/Transportation, Facilities, Public
Direct key BLS&C environmental, health and safety programs, staff and training content. Ensure
overall compliance with local, state and national including EPA and OSHA, including program consultation and policy. Manage BLS&C budget and
finance activity related to the University’s environmental, health and safety
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in
Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Engineering or Science;
Master’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Engineering or
7+ years of increasingly responsible managerial level experience with Environmental
Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include working knowledge of all safety, health
and environmental principles and regulatory requirements. Must have proven project management experience.
Safety regulatory requirements within New York City as well as the University’s global locations.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Expertise in environmental issues including but not limited to asbestos and lead management,
hazardous waste, petroleum bulk storage tanks, environmental site assessments, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality. Must have strong
interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills and willingness and ability to problem solve and work as a team.
