WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of Anthropology is seeking applications for one tenure-track position in Cultural Anthropology at the assistant professor level beginning July 2022. We seek highly qualified candidates who have a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Anthropology by July 1, 2022. Our four-field department has nine permanent faculty in addition to professional staff in the Lam Museum of Anthropology. We are interested in teacher-scholars who complement the geographic areas and topical expertise of our current faculty, have an ongoing program of research that is theoretically engaged and ethnographically grounded, and are prepared to teach introductory courses in cultural anthropology, anthropological theory, and upper-level courses based on the candidate’s academic strengths. Geographic area outside the Americas is preferred.
