The School of
Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-line, Assistant Professor of
Biobehavioral Health to begin in August 2022. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative
teaching, research, and student success. We are committed to building a culturally diverse faculty and strongly encourage applications from

The Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health prepares students to look at health issues
in an integrated way by considering the biological, behavioral, social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence health
throughout the life span. Specific job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in biobehavioral health including
biobehavioral health research, neuroanatomy, neurobiology, epidemiology, health genetics, and health promotion courses. Applicants should
have a strong record of scholarly, health-related research commensurate with their experience and show excellent potential to establish
external research funding. The individual hired for this position will be expected to teach 3 courses per semester (6 per academic year)
and engage in program development, maintain an active research agenda, guide student research, and provide service to the College,
University, and external community, including organizations associated with the candidate’s academic discipline.

 A doctoral degree
in biobehavioral health, behavioral science, biology, public health, health promotion, or a related field is required. The successful
applicant will be hired at the Assistant Professor level. This position requires the completion of standard background checks in accordance
with University policy.
