Avril Lavigne announces new album Love Sux, shares new song ‘Love It When You Hate Me’

Avril Lavigne detailed her upcoming Love Sux, which will be released on February 25 through Travis Barker’s DTA Records.

The eight-time Grammy-nominated pop punk also released the album’s fourth track, “Love It When You Hate Me,” which features blackbear. After the release of Love Sux‘s first single, “Bite Me”, the singles are Lavigne’s first new music since 2019. Love Sux is her seventh studio album, which can be pre-ordered now.

Since the unveiling of “Bite Me”, Lavigne has performed the number live on various TV shows, including The Late Late Show med
James Corden
, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Ellen DeGeneres Show, and ABC‘s New Years eve. Next month, the “Boyfriend” singer is set to embark on her previously detailed world tour in 2022, and tickets are still available to see Lavigne across Europe, the UK and Canada.

In recent months, Lavigne has teamed up with the music’s other current pop punks – including her signing to Barker’s label and collaborating with him, and her new music with Willow Smith. Smith and Lavigne released their anthem on personal exploration, “GROW,” in October.
