Biden’s Nantucket unveiling comes as new variant hits

President Biden’s poor mask discipline continues to be called out.

In a show of political deflection, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that the president is following the guidelines of Disease Control and Prevention Centers on masking. She did not address photos of Biden that showed he was not wearing a mask inside a Nantucket store.

“Our recommendation and advice remains that people wear masks when required in companies,” Psaki said.

“I think you see – the American people and all of you – see the president wearing a mask every time he comes out to an event when he is sitting in meetings,” she added. “And certainly, he will continue to model behaviors he hopes the American people will follow – not for his benefit, but to save their own lives and the lives of their friends and neighbors.”

The bite was seen inside Murray’s Toggery Shop on Nantucket without a mask. This happens after the island has imposed a mask mandate.

Psaki said Biden’s revelation came as she did not know the “circumstances” of what was going on in the store. She was reminded that the store sign said, “Face coverage required.”
