CHICAGO (CBS) – An Arctic air mass is locked over our region and holds a northwest wind current in place.

According to CBS 2 meteorologist Mary Kay Kleist, this high-pressure ridge will drift overhead tonight and relax the wind current.
On Tuesday, it moves ridge to the Ohio Valley. That position will create a gust, southerly wind current. It will be dry and uneventful for the next few days. We will see snow opportunities at the end of the work week.
