Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a snowmobile-driven southwest of Wroxeter, which resulted in serious injuries.
Huron County OPP, along with fire and paramedics, responded at the intersection of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail B108 and C Line Road at approximately 6 p.m. 12:30 Saturday.
“The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but alcohol and speed are thought to be factors in this collision,” police said in a statement.
Both the driver and the passenger of the car were driven to the hospital with serious injuries.
No official OFSC trails are open yet this year, and OPP warned that access to the area is prohibited and violators may be charged with intrusion.
Police are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 482-1677.
