Assistant Director, Reunions, Student, and Alumni Engagement





The Assistant Director, Reunions, Student, and Alumni Engagement reports to the Director,
Reunions, Student, and Recent Alumni Engagement and drives the engagement of admits, students, and recent alumni with the broader Chicago
Booth alumni community. The Assistant Director executes initiatives and programs that engage students from Chicago Booth’s Full-Time,
Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA Programs with alumni in meaningful ways with a focus on providing opportunities for informal mentoring
for students and cultivation for alumni. This position also drives the day-to-day management of recent alumni engagement by creating and
implementing initiatives to connect with recent alumni leading up to their one-year reunion; leading the Recent Alumni Guide series; and
managing volunteers.


  • Develop strategic vision for and execution
    of new and exciting programs that service prospective students, current students, and recent alumni.
  • Liaise between the Office of
    Advancement and student groups for programming across the four MBA populations.
  • Manage alumni vetting, list generation, alumni
    volunteer recruitment, and agenda creation for student and recent alumni engagement programs. 
  • Liaise with and advise student
    groups who work directly with alumni on best practices connecting with alumni, specifically the Student Advisory Council.
  • Prepare
    and execute a variety of communications for prospective students, current students, and recent alumni and specifically schedules and project
    manages the Recent Alumni Guide email series.
  • Serve as one of the point people on Alumni Relations communications, event support,
    payments, contracts, accounting, and ledger management.
  • Track the budget and reconcile accounting transactions for student and
    recent alumni engagement programs.
  • Maintain student and alumni engagement calendar and serves as lead liaison to Booth student
    services teams.
  • Oversee the one-year reunion, which includes recruiting committee members, volunteer management, and program
  • Input and assess metrics and progress towards goals.
  • Contribute to the general advancement of Alumni Relations
    and alumni engagement at Chicago Booth.


  • Bachelor’s
    degree or higher required.
  • A minimum two years of work experience in nonprofit management, advancement, donor relations,
    stewardship, alumni relations, or similar work required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills
    required, characterized by the ability to listen, to speak, and to write well, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Relationship management skills required.
  • Volunteer management skills required.
  • High attention to detail and follow-up,
    and excellent organizational skills required.
  • Experience working with both internal and external partners and work collegially and
    collaboratively in a team setting required.
  • Ability to self-motivate and an exceptional work ethic and track record of personal
    initiative required.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and tact required.
  • Working with global
    populations preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to attend events outside of business hours required.
  • Fluency with Microsoft
    Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (and Excel formulas), and PowerPoint required.
