The Knicks announced on Sunday that they have renounced the Argentine guard Luca Vildoza.
The team had signed him to a four-year deal worth $ 13.6 million in May, but the contract was completely non-guaranteed unless he took the team list out of training camp.
Vildoza played for Argentina at the Olympics in Tokyo. He appeared in two summer league games but was unable to practice in camp, wearing a walking boot as he worked through an ankle injury.
The move leaves the Knicks with 14 guaranteed contracts and an open roster.
