Being on reality TV can not only be exhausting for the reality star, but it can also be detrimental to their relationship. Cynthia Bailey, who decided to leave Real housewives in Atlanta after 11 seasons revealed that one of the reasons she would leave the show was to keep her marriage to Mike Hill in line.
“After going through my divorce with my ex [Peter Thomas]”I’m very protective of my second marriage because you know I really want it to work and I want to do everything I can to protect it and to protect Mike,” said the beautiful beauty of Alabama Page six.
She added that the reality TV world is not “the most positive atmosphere” for your family, and she learned that when she was married to her first husband, Peter Thomas. She said the show did not kill her marriage, but it did not help either.
“Honestly, whether we were on the show or not, I do not think it would have worked now,” the Seagrams Escapes ambassador added. “Let me be very clear now, I do not think that being on the show helps your relationship. However, if your relationship is not solid or if there are issues you are dealing with, these questions will play out, whether or not you [are on] the show or not. So that’s just what it is. ”
Bailey added that Hill, with whom she has been married for a year, would have cheered for her whether she would keep showing or not.
“Mike supports both ways,” she said, “but I think he’s very excited that I’m on television in other ways, something a little less based on drama.”
After Bailey announced she was on her way out, co-star Porsha Williams said she would also let go of her peach.
