Rain-lifted runoff from city streets is likely to pollute seawater around discharges from storm drains, streams and rivers in the next few days, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. People who decide to swim or surf in these waters can get sick.
The county’s council on the use of beach water will be in force until at least Thursday at 13.00, but can be extended depending on further precipitation.
