Disrespectful to the traditions and cultures of other countries

We did not think we would jump back to Sussex so soon after we finished our DC FanDome coverage, but here we are. So we recently published a Chronicles of Harkle post about the political letter and the ethical banking relationship. We had thought we would return to the letter at a later date, but for now we will focus on a few others before returning to it. At any rate, let’s get into the disrespectful behavior Meghan Markle has shown towards cultures and traditions in certain countries.

This has been nagging at us for a while, but we have not had a good excuse to go with it. After the recent events with the Sussexes in New York, we thought it was time to embrace this.

Inappropriate outfit for a mosque – southern Africa

Religion is a sacred part of many cultures, so when entering a place of worship, it is best not to be disrespectful by following the guidelines. However, Meghan Markle has no regard other than her own need for attention and the extra boost it gives to her already massive ego. So when we see a picture as shown below, we can not say that she was “new” to being royal.

In addition, this photo was taken during Sussex’s tour of South Africa after Archie’s birth in 2019. Meghan and Harry were visiting a mosque where Markle was required to wear the proper attire as an expression of respect for the faith. However, she chose not to follow the rules and her headgear did not cover her head properly. In the past we have seen royal women like Catherine and Diana where some of their hair was shown.

What is different about the situation is that Catherine and Diana are prepared in advance. They made sure that their headscarves were not made hasty. The pictures with Meghan show that she used hers at the last second. Besides, it looks sloppy, especially since she had to pull out curls of hair to hit her face. Moreover, this is a faux pas. In addition, Markle made another mistake by wearing a short-sleeved dress. Here are two examples of how it is done right:

In addition, with the Diana image, you can not see that the dress has long sleeves. Others, however, show it as having sleeves. The two photos above were also taken in Pakistan rather than South Africa. Yes, it is a sign of respect. Yes, both Diana and Catherine have their hair shown, but it looks nice while Meghans does not.

Will not honor Archie or wear an Abkura hat – Australia

Australia has always been dear to the royal family. Many royals have traveled Down Under over the years to various events. Prince Charles went to school for a short period in his youth. But for Meghan, the Tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji was just another chance to see the sights and not work.

At any rate, there have been several reports in which Meghan, and by extension Harry, declined gifts for any reason. Apparently, they refused to get a helicopter named after Archie, according to Maddison Leach of Nine Honey in 2019. Who does that? There was a Bilby named after Prince George, whom he came to meet when he was like a year old.

Another point we would like to touch on was the rumor in which Meghan refused to wear the Abkura hat she was given by the then Governor-General of Australia, Sir Peter Cosgrove. Her reason was allegedly that the hat was made of animal skin. However, she was wearing leather shoes. Is she so stupid? Leather comes from a cow, better known as an animal. So that’s hypocrisy. Now we do not know if that is true or not. It’s just something we’ve heard.

Blood Diamonds – America

What could be worse than wearing a blood diamond to a 9/11 memorial? Meghan loves glam, but does not think about the backlash that comes with it. During his and Harry’s so-called “royal trip” to New York, Markle wore a pinky ring made of a jewel, allegedly given to her by the Saudi Crown Prince, who was a person of interest in the murder of a journalist. It was the same guy who sent the earrings she was wearing to Fiji. Again, tone deaf.
