No part of the Front Range has had such a dramatic makeover over the past decade as the W. 144th Avenue corridor west of I-25 – where the towns of Westminster and Broomfield meet at what is arguably the best commuter location in the North Metro. area – easy access to downtown, DIA or Boulder County. It has lured very attractive luxury areas such as Huntington Trails and McKay Shores to surroundings that have beautiful parks and trails by the lake, great mountain views and lots of new shopping and dining options.
Most of the websites here were gone years ago – but Wall Custom Homes, winner of NAHB’s Gold Award for the very best custom home in the entire nation two years ago, has worked with developer / landowner Jim Carr to put together five smaller plots north of W 144. into an enclave with 33 custom-sized places of fine size on the Westminster side of the line. They’s a five minute walk from Starbucks and Snooze, a ten minute walk from Macy’s and from McKay Lake and Park.
Metro Brokers agent Dick Kelley can arrange to show you these places in Carr Estates today – and give you an idea of what you can do there.
Wall Custom Homes has three locations available for genuine custom homes; and a number of others planned for ‘custom-spec’ homes with a plan already in mind, but where you could get involved early on and drive the design process.
Either way, it’s hard to find a more skilled builder than Winston Wall, winner of a dozen MAME and BAR awards for his work in premium areas like Backcountry, Lowry, Estancia and Vista Ridge. With 28 years of special construction, he learned the trade from his father, the legendary builder Bill Wall, the creator of many of the nicest neighborhoods in Arapahoe County, now retired.
“We see this as a showcase for a wide range of complementary custom architecture, including modern, farm, artisan and Tuscan styles,” Wall said, showing his recent work by a number of top-ranked architects.
“If you have your own idea of a 2,700-foot ranch design and want to do something very special, you should look at these places,” he adds. Prices for the finished ranch will now range from $ 1.2 million, Wall says; but the attractive location already draws some buyers to look at more expensive specialty concepts.
Kelley can point you to a number of sites; and arrange for you to meet Winston Wall, explore some plans, and learn about the custom building process using Walls Design Concierge Karen Hoskinson and her selection of premium kitchen, lighting, and floor showrooms. Finished homes can be delivered before the end of 2022.
You will see how close this is on the E-470 / Northwest Parkway for fast airport commutes or west into Boulder and the Interlock; to the medical campuses along 144th and along Highway 7; and to new stores and factory outlets along I-25.
Dick Kelley is on his cell today at 303-503-5365.
