Mila Kunis reveals that Ashton Kutcher was hospitalized with pancreatitis due to Steve Jobs’ film diet

Mila Kunis does not recommend this “stupid” acting method.

During a performance on October 28 on Hot Ones, the actress remembered how man Ashton kutcher ended up in the hospital while getting ready to play Steve Jobs. While fact-checking her husband’s previous appearance on the show in 2019, Mila admitted that Ashton did not tell the whole story of his pancreatitis scare.

“He downplays it,” she said. “He was stupid. He also only ate grapes at one time. It’s so stupid”

Mila continued about the method that dealt with accidents. “We ended up in the hospital twice with pancreatitis,” she noted. “So, fact check, yeah, that was really stupid.”

In 2013, Ashton starred as Apple’s founder in the film Jobs. Part of getting into the character was taking on Steve’s strict fruit diet.

After consuming a lot of carrot juice, Ashton experienced that he suffered from extreme back pain.

“Two weeks before we started shooting, I suddenly had this pain in my back, and through the night it got worse and worse and worse and worse,” Ashton told earlier on Hot Ones.

“I ended up in the hospital on the maximum dose of dilaudid because my pancreas was crazy out of the shade.”

He continued, “And then I get freaked out, like ‘This is the ghost of Steve Jobs taking over my pancreas,’ and I freak out, and it turns out it was the carrot juice that caused this crazy pancreatitis.”
