Associate Director of Institutional Assessment #220485


Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Institutional Assessment will direct and manage annual assessments
of continuous improvements in approximately 40 academic and student support services units in the divisions of Academic and Student Affairs.
The associate director will work with administrators in these departments as they complete outcomes assessment processes and reporting of
continuous improvement outcomes. The position will guide administrators as they integrate institutional/divisional strategic goals and
co-curricular outcomes into their continuous improvement activities. To support the Office’s goal to involve students in assessment
practices and use assessment to improve equity, the associate director will develop and oversee a student council that will use qualitative
and quantitative research methods to gather information and identify how we can best prepare our students to succeed as students and as
alumni of Western Carolina University. The Associate Director will report directly to the Director of Assessment and will have authority to
act on behalf of the Director in his/her absence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a
related field from an institutionally accredited college or university.
