Teenage boy killed after being hit by a vehicle in Aurora – The Denver Post

A 15-year-old boy has died after being hit by a vehicle in Aurora on Sunday night, according to a press release from Aurora police.

At 6:15 p.m., Aurora police responded to the crash on South Chambers Road near East Hampden Circle. According to investigators, the boy was hit by a Suburu Forester heading north along Chambers Road when the boy “stepped into the vehicle’s aisle and was hit.”

The woman driving the Suburu was at the scene of the accident when police arrived.

Police do not believe the car was driving too fast. And drugs and alcohol “do not appear to be additional contributing factors,” according to the press release.

The boy’s identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office after he is positively identified and his relatives have been notified.

This is an active investigation and police are asking those who may have seen the crash to call 720-913-7867.
