Music videos have long been a boon for celebrity cameos, from classics like Eddie Murphy and Believe in Michael Jacksons “Remember the Time” video for jam-packed cameos past Ahmed Rice, Joe Jonas, Jack Antonoff, and more in Charli XCX‘s video for “Boys.” Spotting stars in the short-form video media has been a thing of the past practically since the founding of MTV forty years ago, and now it looks like Taylor Swift enters the game.
As part of her remake of Red, her studio album from 2012, the singer-songwriter has released one teaser trailer for an extended music video for “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” due out November 12th. The video, which is said to be a ten-minute, uncut version of the song, will feature Frygtsgade star Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, according to the fall-toned teaser posted to Swift’s Twitter. The artist will of course also participate in the video himself, as well as write and direct the ten-minute long video.
“All Too Well” premieres as the first single from Red (Taylor version), which will be available for global streaming on the same day as the upcoming music video. The album is Swift’s second re-recorded album after Fearless (Taylor’s version), as part of a complete remake project in response to the masters of her first six studio albums being acquired by the talent manager Scooter Braun, who refused to return the champions to Swift. The album will feature as many as thirty tracks, including collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton, and Ed Sheeran, and a series of unheard numbers originally written for Red, but who did not reach the final.
A physical, four-disc vinyl version of Red (Taylor version) can be pre-ordered now before the album and “All Too Well” video premiere worldwide on November 12th. Watch the teaser trailer below:
The film adaptation has found its Glinda and Elphaba.
