Experience the cinema at home with Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K TV & Soundbar

Samsung’s latest Neo QLED 8K TV offers an immersive movie experience, while the HW-Q950A soundbar brings theatrical-like three-dimensional sound.

In addition to its standard QLED TV series, Samsung this year introduced the Neo QLED series, led by the flagship model 8K QN900A. With television becoming even more important to people as their primary – and often the only – source of entertainment during the pandemic, a large TV with high quality audio and video you can go a long way. Moviegoers do not have to miss captivating movie experiences just because they skip the cinemas to catch their favorite blockbusters at home.

The pandemic is still not quite in the rearview mirror, and movies with big budgets are coming out on streaming services barely weeks or months after their cinema release date. E.g, Shang-Chi will be released on Disney Plus later this month, while star-studded movies like Jungle cruise, Black widow and Cruella debuted online the same day they hit theaters. Others e.g. Luca and Soul from Pixar, the cinemas completely skipped and could be streamed from day one. In this scenario, a great TV that offers viewers a great movie experience is just what people need.

Originally announced at CES 2021, the Neo QLED series comes with a new light source called the Quantum Mini LED, which Samsung says shows images more vivid and accurate. The TVs also utilize the Neo Quantum processor to deliver 8K AI upscaling. At the same time, Quantum Matrix Technology improves the LED brightness level from 10-bit to 12-bit, ensuring deeper blacks and brighter whites. Advanced sound technologies include Object Tracking Sound Pro and Q-Symphony. In addition, the latest generation of Samsung Neo QLED TVs are accompanied by solar-powered remote controls that users can charge via USB and by ambient light, either indoors or outdoors.

Samsung also launched an 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar

In addition to the Neo QLED TVs, Samsung also offers the HW-Q950A soundbar, which comes with 11.1.4-channel speakers and Dolby Atmos technology. The retail package includes the soundbar itself as well as a subwoofer, two satellite speakers and a remote control. According to the company, the new soundbar offers one “theater-like three-dimensional experience at home” without installing additional speakers. The company also claims that the stylish new soundbar will deliver high-quality surround sound similar to premium Dolby Atmos cinemas that use up to 400 speakers to create a realistic sound experience.

Samsung‘s first generation Neo QLED TVs may sound like an enticing proposition, but they are not cheap. The premium 65, 75 and 85-inch Neo QLED QN900A models have MSRPs of $ 4,999.99, $ 6,999.99 and $ 8,999.99, respectively. But they are currently available at early Black Friday prices and are cheaper by $ 1,700, $ 2,500 and $ 3,500 respectively. That means they can currently be purchased for $ 3,299.99, $ 4,499.99 and $ 5,499, respectively. Meanwhile, the same three sizes in the relatively cheaper QN800A line are currently reduced by $ 800, $ 1,500 and $ 2,300, respectively.
