Battlefield 2042 launches either this week or next week depending on which version you go for, and between early access, EA Play trial versions and the full regular launch, it’s a pretty confusing mess. EA has delivered the final launch details today, so let’s share it all down as simply as possible.
If you have pre-ordered a Gold or Ultimate version of Battlefield 2042, the game will be unlocked on PC through Steam, Epic, Origin and EA’s new beta app on November 12 at 12.00 PST / 3.00 EST / 8.00 GMT. On consoles, the game is unlocked at 12:00 on November 12 in your region – in the US, this means that West Coast players can enter at. 21.00 PST on 11 November, just when the clock strikes midnight on the east coast.
You’ll also be able to play Battlefield 2042 at its launch on November 12, if you have EA Play or EA Play Pro, the publisher’s two-step subscription service. Standard EA Play, which costs $ 4.99 per month (and included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), gives you access to a 10-hour trial of Battlefield 2042. EA Play Pro, which costs $ 14.99 per month and is exclusive to PC, gives you access to the entire game.
If you just want to buy the regular version of the game, the standard version will be unlocked on PC via Steam, Epic, Origin and EA’s new beta app on November 19 at. 12.00 PST / 3.00 EST / 8.00 GMT. As with the early release, console versions will unlock on November 19 at. 12:00 in your local area.
Whichever version you choose, preloads are now available. According to the recently updated Battlefield 2042 system requirements, you should expect an installation of approximately 100 GB.
