Health authorities have raided a controversial GP in Melbourne in the middle of an investigation Vaccine against covid-19 dispensations.
On Wednesday afternoon, officials from the Ministry of Health entered the medical clinic in Sunshine North.
Supporters of the doctor, who is under investigation for allegedly handing out fake COVID-19 vaccine exemptions, began filming.
“We are in the operation of Dr. Mark Hobart, a true asset to our community, a family physician for three decades,” said one.
The authorized officers were at the clinic for several minutes, where Hobart claimed to a camera that he was “invaded” by seven officers.
He says they took his “confidential patient records and my appointment book”.
The Ministry of Health says it is concerned that a small number of doctors across Victoria are granting exemptions to people who do not meet the criteria.
Vaccine exemptions can only be issued for specific and limited medical reasons.
