The 82-year-old legendary Mexican actress, Carmen Salinas, with a decades-long career in film and telenovelas, suffered a stroke Wednesday night and her condition is delicate, according to Gustavo Briones González, her nephew and personal assistant.
He went on to tell the press that Salinas is in the intensive care unit with respiratory assistance, but the rest of her organs and functions are stable. Doctors believe that the inflammation in her brain will subside. The family was asked to stay in the hospital to get updates on her condition.
There are reports that she is in a coma, but her nephew did not confirm or deny these reports.
Relatives have asked fans to pray for her.
