One of the most famous pop musicians of the 2000s will somehow join Pokémon Go. This person is the English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
The Ed Sheeran HQ Twitter account has revealed that there will soon be a kind of crossover between the singer and the Pokémon Go mobile game. The game’s official account subsequently retweeted it with an eye emoji confirming the collaboration.

No other details about this have been revealed, so it’s unclear how Ed Sheeran will be in Pokémon Go. The simplest guess would be that he wrote and performed some music for the game. Who knows? In any case, Ed. He has collaborated on other projects such as Game of Thrones and Rise of Skywalker, but these were acting roles as opposed to Pokémon Go.
The last update involving Pokémon Go was back in September when Niantic announced new Safari Live Event dates. They were originally supposed to be held back in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were postponed. Pokémon Go was also in the news because Niantic had planned to reduce the interaction radius for PokeStops and Gyms related to the pandemic. However, after a shout from fans, Niantic decided to go back and keep the interaction radius at 80 meters instead of 40.
