The No Way Home Trailer reveals Jimmy Kimmel as The Collar The Hunter

Jimmy Kimmel hopes that one day, he came hell or high water, will be able to play Kraven the Hunter in either the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Sony’s Universe of Marvel Character. Although that role has technically already been given to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kimmel has long joked about dressing up as the iconic Spider-Man villain. Now that the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released, Kimmel and his team managed to splice the hosted comedian into the trailer, full Kraven costume and all.

You can check it out at the very end of Kimmel’s Wednesday monologue below.

As part of Sony’s growing SUMC, Taylor-John’s The Hunter The Collar solo film is currently set for release in January 2023. At one point, the film’s first author Richard Wenk (The Equalizer) suggested that Spider-Man himself would be featured. Of course, it’s not clear if that means Tom Holland’s version of Peter Parker would be in the movie, or if Sony would throw a new Spidey to SUMC.

“I’m just getting started on it. It’s an interesting world. An amazing character,” Wenk told DiscussingFilm earlier. “It’s going to follow very closely the story of Kraven the Hunter. And he’s going to come face to face with Spider-Man. I’m just started it, the process begins, and because it’s a big IP, the Marvel world , there are lots of obstacles you have to overcome before you can start writing, to crack the right story and get the right tone. It’s a new world for me. But what’s nice about it is that it’s a very grounded character, he does not have a lot of crazy superpowers and that sort of thing, so he’s more grounded, and that fits in with what I like to do. It’s as much as I know. “

In addition, Sony Pictures boss Sanford Panitch admitted earlier this year that he had to investigate something after finding out Taylor-Johnson had been cast.

“It was a ‘I had to beat him up’ kind of thing,” Panitch tells Variety. “I did not have much knowledge. And then we begin to see these incredible dailies [from ‘Bullet Train’], and you really see the full-on action star. He’s charming, and he’s funny, and he stands up to Brad Pitt. Many people can not do that. “
