Round four? Vanessa Hudgens is “very proud” of Princess Switch the trilogy – but she’s not sure there will be a fourth episode.
“You know, I’ll never say never, but I definitely need a break from the amount of work that these films take,” Hudgens, 32, said. Entertainment tonight Thursday, November 18th. “They are so special and I love being in everyone’s home during the holidays and knowing that it brings families together. It just fills my soul with joy. But it’s a lot [of work]. “
That High School Musical alum debuted as Lady Margaret (who will eventually become Queen Margaret) and Stacy (who will become Princess Stacy) in 2018’s Princess contacts. Hudgens repeated both roles in the 2020s The Princes Switch: Switched Again, adds a third look-alike character, Cousin Fiona.
In the third part, The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star, Hudgens slipped again in all three women’s shoes as the trio teamed up – and swapped places – to steal the Peace Star back.
“I feel very proud of it,” Hudgens said of the release of the Netflix movies, where she worked as a producer. “It was a little nugget of gold that started from my love for Parents trap and now we are on the third. “
The Californian native who starred in three HSM films for the Disney Channel in the 2000s, expressed enthusiasm for having an extended story told to her Princess Switch sign.
“It’s become this trilogy and being a part of another trilogy, but knowing that it was literally just dependent on me because I played all the characters, is really cool,” Hudgens added. “And it feels like a really, really special achievement.”
While Spring Breakers The actress has yet to say yes to a fourth film, she commented on fans’ desire to see one, if not all, of her characters have children with their respective love interests. Throughout the franchise, Margaret found love with Kevin (Nick Sagar), Stacy fell for Prince Edward (Sam Palladio) and Fiona romanticized Peter (Remy Hi).
“I feel like I just wanted to skip [pregnancy] bump part and just be me holding babies, for God, I love babies, ”Hudgens said of the story of the possible next film.
Palladio, 34, has previously told Us Weekly that he could also see a pregnancy journey for at least one character down the line.
“I think these movies are about family, love and friendship, and I think that’s clear [next] steps would be something similar [babies],” that Nashville alum exclusively told U.S in November 2020. “I certainly think there are elements of it that could be really fun, but after reading some early drafts and stuff, there are also some very unexpected twists.”
