‘Ant-Man and the Wasp 3’ completes the shooting

Despite the fact that the film has not premiered in cinemas for at least 18 months, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has already completed the shooting. The news was announced by director Peyton Reed, who posted a tweet saying the film is “now complete”, at least in terms of head photography. He also attached a work of art by a small wasp that zoomed into battle, on top of Ant-Man’s head. (Or maybe it’s a wasp of normal size that zooms into battle on top of Giant-Man’s head. It’s hard to say on this scale).

Quantum mania stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as the two title characters who repeat their roles from the 2015s Ant man and the 2018s Ant-Man and the Wasp. The film also features Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Kathryn Newton as Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie and Bill Murray, who recently revealed that he plays a role in the film. (He did not say which character.)

The film’s villain is the Conqueror Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, who has previously appeared as a version of Kang (“He’s Back”) in the Disney + series Loki. This version is probably the “real” Kang, the time-traveling supervillain who has plagued the Avengers through decades of comics and looks set to become Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new Thanos in the years to come.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to open in theaters on July 28, 2023. Yes – 2023, not 2022. And the main photography has already been done. Obviously, there is a lot of work with special effects to be done, and probably also some resumes at some point.
