That Far Cry 6 Vase: Vanvid DLC is an addition to the original game that introduces a roguelit experience to the game. It can be accessed via the home screen and on CRT TVs in the main base camps in Far Cry 6. When you start DLC for the first time, there will be a cutscene explaining the story. Then the game will place players in the starting space.
There will be a tutorial that teaches the players the basics Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity DLC. The first room will have a mirror and a porch. Players can select properties in the mirror. Features are permanent upgrades that can improve Vaas’ survivability during each roguelite run-in Far Cry 6. Players must earn money to upgrade Permanent Traits to the maximum level.
The porch provides weapon casings, gadget refills and temporary powers. Weapon holsters are used to acquire and upgrade weapons while playing Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity. The Gadget Refill section is used to refill or re-roll equipment and refill healing syringes. The Temporary Power section offers a random selection of powers or perks for sale, and it can also upgrade the Power Bar limit. Everything in Armory requires cash to upgrade or purchase.
Using the Compound Home Base in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity
After completing the tutorial, players will be free to explore Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity. The Compound is the starting point for the DLC, and this is where players often return to upgrade their abilities and weapons and revive when they die during each race.
The Mirror allows players to select and upgrade permanent properties with cash. These include:
- Pride: Receive healing syringes that rebuild over time; Increase Base Health Stat.
- Greed: Keep a certain amount of cash after death; Visit the last place where players died to get their full inventory.
- Vase ‘Peace: Get extra buffs and abilities when performing melee downs; Increase the enemy’s discovery time.
- Sloth: Increase healing spray capacity; Get the ability to reconstruct; Add mobility tools to a player’s arsenal.
- Jealousy: Add Gadget Sockets to the weapon wheel, up to 4 pieces of equipment max.
Players should plan to upgrade all permanent properties in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity once as this will be the cheapest solution that provides the most value. Prioritizing the sloth feature first will give players access to all the abilities from the main campaign, such as a recon camera, parachute, grip, vehicles and a wing suit. All of these will make it much easier to explore the map.
After upgrading the Sloth feature, the Envy feature should be upgraded next time as it is the cheapest feature to max out and offers a variety of equipment to use. Gadgets are very useful for reconstructing, capturing and killing groups of enemies. Thereafter, players should plan to upgrade Pride as it will increase Vaas’ health in large quantities and give players more chances to fight offensively without worrying about dying.
Greed will be one of the last traits to upgrade, like to die in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity can typically be avoided by planning and good preparation. Vaas’s Wrath is the last feature to be upgraded. It is mostly used for stylistic takedowns and provides no significant upgrades to survivability. The one thing it does have, though, is “increase the enemy’s discovery time“function for easier stealth killing.
Armory in the Compound supplies weapon holsters for each weapon class in Far Cry 6. Players can unlock cases by completing challenges. Then they can permanently upgrade weapon casings to access attachments and changes. The options include:
Primary weapon holsters
- SMG (submachine gun) case
- Shotgun Case
- Rifle bag
Secondary weapon casings
- Pistol box
- Auto Pistol Case
Special weapon bags
- Sniper Case
- Machine tool box
- Case for grenade launchers
- Bue Case
After upgrading a weapon box, players must re-equip the weapon to access the upgraded versions. Weapon upgrades in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity can be re-rolled on The Armory in their respective porches. For example, inspection of the gun housing can re-roll the Red Dot Sight to a 2x sight on the starting gun from 1911.
Weapon upgrades include:
- Injuries increase
- Ammunition changes
- Sight and laser accessories
- Additional statistical changes
When players die or are interrupted, they lose all equipped weapons. Players can unlock new weapon casings by completing Gun Show Challenges while exploring.
Temporary Power Pickups are perks and abilities that can be found or purchased through Armory. Vaas’s Power Bar only has one seat at the start, but more slots can be purchased using Cash at the Armory. Any temporary power equipment will be lost after death. Temporary powers can be sold or replaced with cash if players have hit the limit at Vaas’ power bar.
Exploration, Cash, and Challenges in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity
When one enters the world of Far Cry 6’s Vase: Insane DLC, players must use the main menu card to find weapon challenges, trials, MindF *** s, secure houses, main targets, memory links and a center image of their location. There will be Fog of War covering the entire map when you launch the DLC, but as players explore, they will gradually reveal the map.
Players can use their mini-maps to help navigate in the beginning to help find new places and targets. The mini-card also shows lootable chests, enemy heat cards, power pickups and player markers. Safe Houses, small versions of The Compound, can be seen on the Mini-Map as Armories and Mirror icons. After unlocking them, they are permanently placed on the main menu card, and if players stop in a safe house, it saves everything except the progress of the story. To unlock a safe house, players must defeat a boss, “Jason”, inside Far Cry 6 and his surrounding enemies.
It is important for players to look for and take advantage of other activities around the map, including:
- Memory links: Large glowing doors that can be used to travel fast and reach destinations or access new areas
- Gun Shows or Weapon Challenges: Chests that can be opened by completing horde defenses against groups of enemies. They appear as cube icons with jewels and reward players with new weapons and weapon casings.
- Mindf *** s: Side tasks that offer storytelling elements and puzzles to solve. They appear as wave symbols and reward a large selection of Power Pickups and Cash.
- Experiments: Drink challenges that will teleport players to hordes of defense areas where they must battle a group of enemies up to a gate to return to the main map. They appear as torch-like symbols.
- Looting chests: Glowing stone boxes containing cash, healing syringes, gadget refills and ammunition. Players can also find Mega Chests that contain Power Pickups.
Finally, players will prioritize making money Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity. Cash is used for each upgrade in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity, including for properties, weapons, weapon casings and temporary powers. Players can earn money by running over the locations of slain enemies, conducting weapon shows, trials and Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity Mindf *** – challenges, opening loot chests, selling unarmed weapons, upgrading the greed trait, using Power Pickups that increase earned money, and finding golden animals to cuddle or kill.
