Earlier this month, Meghan Markle aroused indignation when she confessed to having “incorrectly remembered” her involvement in her unofficial biography Finding Freedom and admitted that she gave her helpers permission to discuss information with the authors.
Her statement about the book – which revealed intimate details about the fallout with Meghan’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton and how she was treated in the royal family – was met with backlash from fans.
But just a few days later, Meghan, 40, shocked the world when she appeared on Ellen Degeneres’ show and looked happy and glamorous when she gave an insight into her world.

She recounted how she and Harry had been on “one last night on the town” in Toronto before going public with their romance in 2016, revealing that they were holding a Halloween party for their children, Archie, two, and Lilibet, five months, last month.
She then participated in a joke that saw her approach street vendors, and she could only say and do what she was asked to do through an earpiece – which included sipping a cookie “like a chipmunk”, singing a song about kittens and sip milk from a feeding bottle – in what appeared to be an attempt to distance oneself from the royals’ reserved image.
And now the royal cinema Duncan Larcombe – who wrote Prince Harry: The Inside Story – says that Meghan’s Ellen performance is her attempt to redeem herself after her court blunder.

Duncan says: “Having to apologize for misunderstanding the facts in court is a blow to Meghan. She has created chaos for herself and has now somewhat lost control of the narrative, and Harry and Meghan like to have their voices heard and share their so-called truths.
“Meghan’s image and reputation are absolutely everything to her, so if one of them gets negatively impacted, she needs to do something to fix things. In my opinion, the Ellen interview was a form of injury control. “
Last week, rumors swirled that Meghan and Harry might want to give a top-up interview to Oprah Winfrey. Their first interview with Oprah in March caused shock waves when the couple made controversial allegations of racism within the royal family, as well as claiming that Meghan’s mental health problems were ignored, leaving her suicidal. Commentators were also quick to question the couple’s decision to do the interview after previously claiming they wanted “a privacy” when they moved to the United States last year.

And now Duncan says, “I really would not be surprised if they were planning another Oprah interview. Harry and Meghan have caused chaos, and I suppose there is no stopping them. I can completely see more of these high-profile people. , Hollywood-style interviews with A-list TV hosts happen.Especially if a lot of money is offered for it.Harry needs promotion for his memoir, which is also due out next fall.Another Oprah interview if that’s anything as the latter, would certainly push the royals to the breaking point. “
Following their first Oprah interview, the Queen issued a statement saying she was “sorry” over the allegations, and recent reports claim that Harry and the rest of his family are barely on speaking terms.
But Meghan and Harry seemed to hint at love for the queen in June when they named their daughter Lilibet, which is her nickname.
And Duncan says Harry will no doubt be worried about his grandmother’s health – there have been concerns for the Queen after the 95-year-old spent a night in hospital before withdrawing from the COP26 summit and Remembrance Day service.

Duncan says: “The Queen and Harry have always had a special relationship. At royal events we have seen them exchange smiles and knowing glances. Although they are obviously not as close as they used to be, given the drama Harry and Meghan have caused. No doubt Harry’s recollections will criticize the royals again, and it will hurt the Queen.
“But any homesickness or longing to see someone intensifies when someone is ill. So I expect, with these latest reports, that it dawns on Harry that he may not have much time left to see his grandmother. No matter how heartbreaking it is. is, it might be an important wake-up call for him if the Queen falls ill.
Harry and Meghan seem to have seamlessly transitioned to the showbiz circuit since their move to California. Harry has also done an interview with James Corden, while Meghan launched a charity campaign with actress Melissa McCarthy, and the couple have signed multimillion-pound deals with Spotify, Netflix and Apple TV.

And Duncan says that while the couple – who have continued to call themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – are still using their titles, the intersection of the royal and celebrity worlds could cause further damage to the royals.
He adds: “Where it all went wrong for Meghan was that she could not understand the difference between a celebrity and a royal. A celebrity sells their own image, their reputation and their brand and gets paid for it. But a royal can not do that because the public did not want it – their job is to serve the people of the country and raise awareness of matters without any personal gain.We would not have a royal family if the royals did everything for their own fame and fortune.
“The fact that she and Harry are still using their titles is dangerous because people will start asking, ‘They are royals, but what are they doing all this for? For the good or for their own gain?’. get more drama if there are more of these A-list interviews. “
