Still, the soap star is not the only celebrity in his family, as his father is Vince Miller, who was nicknamed King Of Comperes after working as a leading VIP host at Manchester United for almost 30 years.

Vince is loved on the football team and counts the legendary boss Alex Ferguson among his friends, while also hitting headlines in March 2017 when he was forced from his job to call a waitress ‘love’ and put his arm around the employee.

Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, has already become a fan favorite in the program – similar to his father’s popularity at the football club.

Throughout his illustrious career, Vince mingled with Dame Shirley Bassey, Johnny Mathis and paid tribute at the funeral of comedian Bernard Manning.

He also used to interview his friend Alex on match days.

In 2017, Vince left the club after a hostess complained that he put his arm around her during a match. He said he ‘withdrew with dignity’ from his role as a comparison in the club’s corporate suites following the complaint in September of that year.

He announced that he was about to end his 65-year-old showbiz career, which started when he was a singer in a band at the age of 16.

He said: ‘I’ve had a great career, I’ve done it all as a presenter, comedian, singer, I’m been very lucky. As Edith Piaf said, ‘Je Ne Regrette Rien, no regrets!’

Father of nine Vince added: “I’m not sorry, now is the time to get out while you’re on top, you do not want people to say ‘not him again’!”

A hostess told The Sun: ‘He is an old-fashioned gentleman who has worked for the club for as long as people can remember and who absolutely loves his job.

‘He’s crushed on losing it and no one can believe the club has treated such a nice old guy this way …

‘Fergie loves him to pieces and will no doubt be amazed to hear about what has happened after what appears to be such an innocent incident.’

A Manchester United spokesman said: ‘All our lounges receive feedback from fans who enjoy the facilities on match day.

‘As a result of the feedback we received in the Old Boardroom over a period of time, we have changed the offer to supporters in the room, and part of that change has meant a shift in the room host.’
