Tom Ford said he ‘laughed out loud’ when he saw ‘House of Gucci’

Tom Ford was the creative director of Gucci for 20 years, from 1994 to 2004. He was involved in these events and knew the people. It’s probably hard to see a tragic and bloody story you’ve experienced unfold as an episode of Dynasty

Tom Ford says when Al Pacino & Jared Leto were on screen in the House of Gucci, he “was not sure [he] did not see one SNL [skit]”:“ I felt like I was living through a hurricane when I left the theater. Was it a farce? A gripping tale of greed? I laughed out loud. Should I?”

says Tom House of Gucci made him “deeply sad”: “It was hard to see the humor and the camp in something that was so bloody. In real life, none of that camp was. It was absurd at times, but in the end it was tragic. ” He also praised Lady Gaga and Adam Driver’s “strong performance.”

“The true star of House of Gucci is Gaga. It’s her movie. She’s stealing the show. Her performance is spot-on. Her face is something you can not take your eyes off. When she is on screen, she owns the frame – not an easy task with so many experienced and talented actors. ” – Tom Ford
