Job Summary

The College of Media, Communications and Information encourages applications for two
Advertising Strategy Scholar in Residence positions. These full-time faculty positions within the Department of Advertising, Public
Relations and Media Design will each teach eight courses per year, playing a key role in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of our
advertising strategy curriculum and developing standard syllabi for core courses. These positions will also help the department develop and
oversee student participation in the Effie Awards competition and be responsible for maintaining relationships with the advertising
industry, generating opportunities for students to meet professionals. Each position will have an 18-month term. Anticipated start date is
Fall 2022.

We are looking for visionary instructors who can help us build a national reputation for our Advertising Strategy
program – a highly popular track in our Bachelor of Science Strategic Communication. The program includes courses in account management,
account planning, campaign strategy and tactics, media analytics, consumer insights, and branding, among others. CU advertising creative
students have been among the most consistent winners from a four-year university at the ONE Club’s student competition. We are working to
develop a similar record for the advertising strategy students.

What We Can Offer
salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 and includes CU Boulder’s excellent benefits package.

What We Require

  • Experience developing brand and communications strategies for nationally or internationally recognized brands.
  • Prior
    experience working with senior management.
  • Experience conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research.
  • An MBA or
    master’s degree in any academic field.
