Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are ready to return to the field – this time in New Zealand. Starz has renewed their hit travel documentaries Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham for another season of six episodes. Developed by Heughan and McTavish, Men in kilt is produced by Boardwalk Pictures in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television.
In season 2, the traveling duo will take on the Scottish influence of New Zealand as they dive into its own story.
In Season 1, the two were reunited for an epic adventure in Scotland, where they explored their heritage and met people who truly show what it means to be Scottish. The first season of the series in half an hour and eight episodes offers the duo’s unique perspective on everything from Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden to whiskey tasting and folk dancing. Whether they are hanging out on the edge of a cliff, arguing with a herd of wild sheep or discovering their true heritage Outlander characters, both men dive headfirst into every single experience.
Heughan and McTavish devised the original idea and act as executive producers alongside Alexander Norouzi, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma and Kevin Johnston, who also act as director.
