If you need a Hamptons home, Chris Fogler is your go-to agent.
As a real estate agent, Fogler made it his mission to know in and out of Hampton real estate. Fogler has been in the real estate business for 29 years and has made a name for himself in the Hamptons market, built up amazing customer service skills while becoming familiar with the area, as well as water rules, building codes and FEMA standards.
“My wife did it before that,” Fogler recalled. “I helped her for years before I even started in real estate, so I’ve been involved in the business for over 30 years.”
Birds joined the team at Compass in May 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. Although the shutdown had been in full swing by the time he joined, Fogler was able to use his abilities to get people into homes in the Hamptons.
Before the pandemic, Fogler saw that buying a home in the Hamptons was more of a “desire” rather than a “need” for many of his clients.
“For years, it has always been a different home market,” Fogler said. “In the last 28-29 years, there were only a few houses sold for a year-round home, it is almost always a secondary home.”
But in the midst of the pandemic, Fogler saw these needs shift.
“The pandemic created a need and a buyer who was motivated to buy not just a cottage, but needed an escape,” Fogler said. “It filled the void we already needed and made desire a necessity. The market in the Hamptons just exploded, everyone wanted to be here.”
During his time at Compass, Fogler has sold a number of Hamptons homes. One of his records included 29 Shore Road in Remsenburg. This five-bedroom home was sold for $ 1.9 million in May 2021.
The home is a pleasure from the Hamptons, complete with a pool in the ground, a brand new kitchen with Viking appliances and several living areas with fireplaces. The home is also within walking distance of the bay and the Westhampton Yacht Squadron.
Also in October 2020, Fogler sold 38 Library Avenue in Westhampton Beach for $ 4 million. This rare find is less than half a mile from both the village and the beach, a heated pool in the ground, a tennis court for all kinds of weather and a kitchen garden with raised beds with deer fences.
Right now, Fogler is selling a hot property on 113 Dune Road, which is on the market for $ 9.5 million.
Another stunning find in Westhampton Beach, 113 Dune Road, lies between the bridges on over an acre of 112 feet by the ocean, a must-have for any Hamptons buyer. The two-story home has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, an open floor plan with a kitchen and a living room with ocean views, a spacious dining area and den and an attached garage with four cars.
The home also has a heated, in ground pool with a deck and poolside cabana, central air and a walkway leading straight up to the beach.
Although the market is unlike anything we’ve seen before as a result of the pandemic, Fogler remains optimistic about the future of Hampton’s real estate.
“The Hamptons are really popular right now. I don’t see that changing for the time being,” Fogler said.
