‘Fauci should be in jail for five years for lying to Congress

On Thursday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) called on the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s imprisonment for “lying” to Congress about his department’s funding of research in gain of function.

Paul told Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” that Fauci should spend five years in prison, but said he did not “have much hope” that Attorney General Merrick Garland “objectively looked at Fauci’s lies.”

“We have referred him to the Department of Justice, but again, Merrick Garland is the one who now goes after parents who go to school board meetings, so I do not have much hope that Merrick Garland will objectively look at Fauci’s lies,” Paul said. Fauci should be in jail for five years for lying to Congress. They have prosecuted other people. They have selectively gone after the Republicans, but they will in no way do anything about him lying. But he should be prosecuted for lying. “

“[A]ten at least taken out of position because I think he cost people lives through misinformation. Every time he says to people, ‘Oh, put on a fabric mask,’ he’s actually putting people in danger. If you’re around someone with COVID, you do not want to wear a mask because they do not work, “he added.
