A new report from Game Informer has helped confirm old pieces of alleged Bully 2 concept art and screenshots, confirming their legitimacy.
A new report has confirmed some very old pieces of Bully 2 concept art and screenshots that confirm they are genuine. The history about Bully 2s development is a matter that has been fabled for many years, but details of it are rather sparse. Although there is some information, much of it is minimal and even unconfirmed, making it difficult to separate facts from fiction.
bully first released in 2006, and takes Rockstar Games’ typical humor and controversial plot points seen throughout GTA series and place them in a school setting. For many years, rumors of a remaster, remake or sequel have continued to persist, in part driven by leaks and rumors. Leaky images and concept art helped keep hope alive, though Rockstar did not confirm their legitimacy. Former Rockstar developers have now shed new light on this Bully 2, and not only reveals that it once existed before it was canceled, but also reveals some of its features. There has been a rumor about that Bully 2 is still happening, but so far, these few details and pieces of concept art players need to consider.
Earlier rumors suggested it Bully 2 wanted Jimmy to stay at his stepfather’s mansion during the summer holidays, and this concept art seems to support that. The aesthetics certainly have a warmer vibe than the original game, which was largely about the fall and winter seasons. Details of the story of the canceled Bully 2 is still unknown, but the article mentions that Jimmy was meant to be the protagonist again and backed up previously unconfirmed leaks. It sounds like there would have been a greater focus on the city rather than exploring a school, so the summer holidays perhaps make the most sense for the setting.
Although the sequel never happens, Bully 2 affected Red Dead Redemption 2, so many of its best ideas can still be seen. Nevertheless, there are some elements that are difficult to reuse in one of Rockstar’s other IP, which does bully a unique franchise that the developer has not yet fully exploited. About Bully 2 will get the resurrection it deserves and allow fans to live out a summer fantasy that remains to be seen, but the images certainly look like the sequel fans are still hoping for.
