David Beckham once again misses the knighthood when the 2022 New Year honors list is released

David Beckham has missed out on a chivalry once again after being left out of the 2022 New Year’s list of honors.

The former Manchester United and England legend, who received an OBE back in 2003, is a national sports icon but has not been made a ‘Sir’ by Her Majesty the Queen.

And while other athletes are included on the list, it looks like Beckham will miss out on the honor in yet another royal snub.

It comes despite reports this week that the 46-year-old will be formally nominated after having his finances cleaned up by the taxman, 10 years after being involved in a tax evasion scheme.

The Sun claimed that the former Red Devils winger’s status has therefore been upgraded from red – which previously meant he was excluded from recognition – to green.

According to the report, Beckham was caught in the ingenious tax evasion scheme ten years ago and has since been blacklisted by the tax authorities.

In yet another blow to his hopes of chivalry, Beckham’s emails were later hacked in 2017, and he was accused of calling the honorary committee ‘non-appreciative c ****’ in the leak for not making him a ‘Sir’.

And while some expected him to finally be knighted after clearing up his tax problems, Beckham has been dealt yet another cruel blow despite his exploits and remarkable charitable work.
