Take a shot at Carson Wentz, Colts

Home teams in CAPS:

COLTS (-8) over Raiders

Carson Wentz got a healthy, adequate recovery from short-term COVID issues, which in turn positioned Wentz to start today against invading Vegas. He just needed the final permission of the team doctor. Rookie Sam Ehlinger is on deck for the Colts if needed.

Fights (+6.5) over BEARS

Early on, the New Yorkers enjoyed a race that rewarded the loyal – but that streak is well over. Andy Dalton is meant to give it another chance for visitors, and may be able to stay within this handicap.

Jets (+13.5) over BUCCANEERS

Tampa is currently in fourth place in the dense stack of quality pages at the top of the NFC, and Tampa is in little danger of losing this directly while waiting for a bigger game. Bucs may not be performing at an absolute top level here.

Dolphins (+3) over TITANS

Tennessee appears to be much fresher, after having three days more rest since it comes after a Thursday niners. Miami’s won seven straight against modest enemies and ended their run with a fill of the Saints in New Orleans.

COWBOYS (-6) over Cardinals

With their violent start, Kliff Kingsbury’s gang topped too early? The Hot Cowboys enjoyed a long, dominant dominance over Bill Bidwell’s club as both lived in the NFC East. White-knuckle victory?

SAINTS (-6.5) over Panthers

Carolina captured visits from Saints away from home in early September. The N’Awlins have tended to be more of a force as the seasons go on, especially in division games. Sam Darnold is expected to step down for Cam Newton for visitors here.

Eagles (-4.5) over WASHINGTON

Philly’s campaign for January postseason opportunities if their newly rejuvenated running game (130 yards against Big Blue). This is not an ideal style matchup for hosts who have had a hard time with NFC East enemies.

BILLS (-14.5) over Falcons

Buffalo come out of the muscle-bending overhand view against the Patriots in Foxborough… though Falcons-skilled people are always dangerous when taken too lightly, and QB Matt Ryan can come from behind in a hurry if joked with.

BENGALS (+4.5) over Chiefs

Cincy endured an ugly, annoying injury stretch in mid-season, but with the return of people like Joe Mixon and wider availability of other dignitaries, I do not want to wade in too bravely, though I assume the Chiefs may not find this game date easy .

PATRIOTS (-16.5) over Jaguars

These Jaguars have tended to be laggards – especially when exposed to the hardships of the enemy road. The Jags play the string while the Patriots polish their action.

RAVENE (+6) over Rams

Baltimore’s medium-term hopes for QB Lamar Jackson’s health, and it’s still possible that Tyler Huntley will also stay off the COVID-19 list. Pay close attention to weekend reports.

CHARGER (-8) over the Broncos

Thought the market opening in the field goal area was low but could not resist, given the Broncos’ modest offensive abilities, stacked against a clearly superior Chargers attacking unit. Do not want to push out here, but must give a nod to healthier Bolt side.

Lions (+7.5) over SEAHAWKS

Not sold Detroit has enough to get all the way to “W” country, but with QB Jared Goff under center, it would expect this to be close, against Russell Wilson and one of the older starting contenders in the league. Time goes on.

Texans (+12.5) over 49ERS

San Fran’s loss to the Titans last week is prime this favorite to steamroll this enemy. Alas, this rigid tariff makes this entertainment a dangerous vehicle for pigskin speculators.

PACKERS (-13) over Vikings

It is not certain that we will march with this as Minny HC Mike Zimmer has been a master at building his accusations in the heels of a loss in the regular season. Yet the Vikings gave everything. when they took the package out in November. The beginning of January is always difficult and this will be no exception – it will be fat.

Monday

Brown (-3.5) over STEEL

Pittsburgh has dominated this series in modern times, but time has taken seriously Pittsburgh’s talent base. Circumstances have now given rise to a situation where the Brownies are favored by Heinz. Must go to the cord.

Last week: 7-8
Season: 111-103-2
