“Late Night” host Seth Meyers returned to the GOP debates in 2016 on Monday to mock Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) Over this dismissal he shared on Twitter of the omicron variant of coronavirus:
Meyers strikes back at Rubio’s claim that “the real crisis is the irrational hysteria that has asymptomatic people waiting hours for a test or missing work for 10 days” by reminding viewers of his previous poor turnout in Congress.
It was “one of the few true facts” he had learned from former President Donald Trump that brought it up during one of the debates, Meyers explained.
A “far better message” for Rubio to push would be that people only experience mild symptoms because they are fully vaccinated and / or boosted, the comedian suggested.
