Located just outside of Seattle, WA, Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) was founded in 1949, and is
the only public institute of technology in the state of Washington. LWTech offers 10 applied bachelor’s degrees, more than 40 associate
degrees, and 80 professional certificates in 41 areas of study, including STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math. LWTech is located within the city of Kirkland, which is home to companies such as GoDaddy, Google, Astronics and EvergreenHealth, and
the college is within minutes from Microsoft and Nintendo. LWTech was recognized by the Aspen Institute as one of the top 150 two-year

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is seeking a pool of qualified Adjunct Professors to teach in the Architectural
Technology Program. Adjunct Professor positions require a minimum of two years work experience. College teaching experience and industry
certifications are preferred. Candidates must be available to teach in the 2020-2021 Academic School Year starting this Fall. Classes are
fully online for Fall and the synchronous class times are Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 1:00 pm to 5:45 pm and Wednesday/Friday 1:00-6:30 pm. A
decision about Winter and Spring quarters have not been made yet. Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Architectural Design and work experience
related to the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry is required.


  • Teach AutoCAD to
    beginning-level students
  • Teach Revit to beginning-level students
  • Plan and develop a variety of instruction objectives and
    experiences appropriate to the program goals
  • Identify individual learning needs of students and make appropriate
  • Develop and teach to the objectives of the approved curriculum
  • Develop and teach lessons which foster and
    support cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Develop classroom and lab procedures in conformance with identified policies and
  • Maintain appropriate records which indicate student progress and meet college requirements
  • Follow disciplinary
    procedures as prescribed and deal consistently and fairly with all students Design learning experiences for the unique characteristics of
    individual adult students through classes, individual instruction and self-directed learning


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
  • 2+ years related work experience, licensed architect
  • College teaching experience preferred Industry certifications preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must have sensitivity and ability to successfully interact with diverse populations
