Lead Faculty, Health Information Management Program


Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, 12-month, Lead Faculty member for its CAHIIM-accredited Health
Information Management Program. This position can be remote from within the United States. Franklin University’s Health programs
deliver domestic and international programming in both distance learning and face-to-face instruction.

Responsibilities include:
course development; teaching; administrative oversight of courses; hiring, mentoring and managing adjunct faculty; and University
service/committee work. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers, practitioners in the field, our in-house
multimedia group and peers to create adult-centered active-learning courses. In addition, the successful candidate will be capable of
assisting with internship coordination, course development, student advising, and program accreditation.

Minimum
Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree (preferably in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Public Health, or
    related field).
  2. Current Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential.
  3. Combination of 3-5 years of
    industry and/or teaching in a higher education setting.

Candidates who have earned, or are in progress, or are willing to
pursue a doctorate degree are preferred.
