This full-time faculty position is on campus and in-person.

TCU welcomes applicants whose personal, educational,
and life experiences will enrich our students’ preparedness to work in culturally and linguistically diverse environments, successfully
interact with families, and lead school-based faculty/staff from various backgrounds. We seek an innovative and culturally responsive
teacher-scholar to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Educational Leadership. Position responsibilities
include working in a productive, collegial environment; teaching graduate courses related to educational leadership and research methods;
advising and mentoring students; serving as a committee member and/or chair of dissertation or capstone project committees; and
participating in program, College, University and professional service. Additional expectations include coordinating an Educational
Leadership graduate program, developing new partnerships with district and community partners, marketing, recruitment, admissions, advising,
and working collaboratively with partner districts to provide students authentic experiences.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. An
earned doctorate in educational leadership or closely related field (conferred before or by the end of August 2022).
2. A minimum of two
years of teaching experience in PK-12 schooling environments.
3. A minimum of two years of experience as a campus principal and/or
central office leader.
4. Valid principal certification or ability to obtain valid principal certification in Texas with 12 months of
hire (if transferring certification from another state).
5. Demonstrated success or the potential for success in teaching graduate
courses related to higher education.
6. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
7. Evidence of strong written and
oral communication skills.
8. An academic record of excellence in teaching and service appropriate to rank.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Commitment to and experience working with university-school district partnerships.
2. A valid superintendent
certification or the ability to obtain valid certification in Texas with 12 months of hire (if transferring certification from another
state).
3. Experience in teaching and/or coordinating a graduate program in higher education contexts.
4. Knowledge of content areas
related to PK-12 educational leadership preparation.

Required

STARTING DATE: August 2022

SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with
experience and qualifications.

APPOINTMENT: 9-month period, renewable upon performance, need, and finances; possible extended
contract after year 5 (assistant professor of professional practice) or with rank (associate/full professor of professional practice). The
position carries the potential for additional paid teaching in the summer (up to 2 courses per summer) in addition to the 9-month
contract.
