Sadie Robertson is ‘exhausted’ after fighting a tough health battle.

That Second dynasty star took to Instagram on January 7 to update fans on how her new year is going – and unfortunately it has not been the easiest time.

Shares a video of her husband Christian Huff holding their daughter Honey, the Dance with the stars alum wrote that she would miss Passion, a Christian conference where she and her husband planned to speak, due to a combination of COVID-19 and flu.

“Tbh the start of this year has been pretty interesting,” she began. “We will soon share more about it in our vlog. Annoyed that I got FLURONA (influenza + covid) (yikes) so obviously I was so sorry to miss Passion, but I was so grateful that God gave me the strength to still preach my message to an empty space even though I was so sick. My faith from that experience grew so much that his spirit truly lives in us! also grateful that the conference is online! “

“Flurona”, although not a separate disease, is the daily term for having COVID-19 and the flu at the same time. Robertson is not the only star dealing with two viruses at once: This week, Dwyane Wade reveals on Twitter that he was as “flurona had other plans.”

Unfortunately for Robertson, it was not just COVID-19 and the flu that threw a wrench in her 2022. She also told me she had to be out of her house when “a couple of rats” had invaded their home, and ” the little “guys do some work.”

“It’s disgusting,” she added with a smiley face on her head. “We are exhausted from coming over illness and being out of our home. So here we are floating around trying to make the most of it. Thank you for being healthy now. Lord, help us to consider it joy!”

Robertson previously fought COVID while pregnant with Honey, telling Yahoo in December 2020 that the disease was “really, really bad.” She was hospitalized due to complications from COVID and unable to hold on to fluid due to intense morning sickness.

“I was actually the last to get it [COVID] in the family, ”she told Yahoo. “My sister got it, so did my parents, then Christian and I both got it. But then it ended with us. Fortunately, we did not spread it. It certainly went like a steppe fire for a minute there, but we stopped it. “

She also used her experience to encourage others to stay as safe as possible during the pandemic.

“We need to protect those who are older than us – and even ourselves, because it’s not healthy for anyone to have it,” she said at the time. “Everyone is struggling with COVID, especially those who have lost people from COVID. It’s no joke … It has certainly taught me a lot to go through it. Even though we are stronger for it.”
