Capstone also includes a unique black-and-white interior, walnut trim with open pores, 14-inch center touch screen and panoramic sunroof, and it’s the only Tundra trim with sound-absorbing acoustic front glass in the front doors.
The Capstone is only available with Tundra’s hybrid driveline, called the i-Force Max, which uses a twin-turbo V6 engine and produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. The towing capacity of the new trim is 10,340 lbs, while the payload peaks at 1,488 lbs. Capstone also includes standard Trailer Back Guidance, and when used with the integrated trailer brake controller, the truck’s blind spot monitoring system includes the length of the trailer.
The price of the new trim was not announced, but currently the most expensive Tundra Crew Cab with short bed starts at $ 72,990.
